SHUANG (which translates to 'refreshing' in Chinese), is a beer brand I created with a focus on infusing Asian flavors into its brews, the brand seeks to introduce a distinctive taste to the world of beer.
For this project, I wanted to incorporate elements of my culture into the design while also focusing on how packaging can communicate a feeling—in this case, refreshment and social connection. I thought about how beer is often enjoyed in Chinese culture, whether it’s after a long day or during gatherings with friends, and I wanted the design to reflect that experience.
Visually, I explored ways to represent refreshment through dynamic elements like water splashes and bright, clean compositions. I also included fruit flavor graphics, like lychee, since those flavors are commonly found in Chinese beverages and would feel familiar and appealing to the target audience.
Throughout the process, I focused on making sure the design was both eye-catching and clear in communicating the flavor and mood of the product. It was a really meaningful project for me because it allowed me to combine storytelling, cultural inspiration, and packaging design.
